NOTICE PROPOSED ORDINANCE REPEALING TITLE 3, CHAPTER 9 AND AMENDING AMENDMENT OF TITLE 5, CHAPTER 5
OF DALTON GARDENS CITY CODE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Dalton Gardens, Kootenai County, Idaho, will hold a public hearing on July 9, 2026 at 6:00 PM in the Council Chambers at Dalton Gardens City Hall, 6360 N 4th Street, Dalton Gardens, Idaho, for the purpose of receiving public comment on and considering the adoption of Ordinance No. 294, repealing Title 3 Chapter 9, Short Term Rentals, and amending Title 5, Chapter 5, Residential District adding Short Term Rentals.
Summary of proposed Ordinance 294:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DALTON GARDENS, IDAHO, REPEALING TITLE 3, CHAPTER 9 OF THE DALTON GARDENS CITY CODE REGARDING SHORT-TERM RENTALS; AMENDING SECTION 5-5-1 OF CHAPTER 5, TITLE 5 OF THE DALTON GARDENS CITY CODE TO ADD SHORT-TERM RENTALS AS A PERMITTED USE; AMENDING CHAPTER 5 OF TITLE 5 OF THE DALTON GARDENS CITY CODE TO ADD SECTION 5-5-11 REGARDING SHORT-TERM RENTALS; ESTABLISHING GENERALLY APPLICABLE HEALTH, SAFETY, PARKING, OCCUPANCY, AND NUISANCE STANDARDS CONSISTENT WITH IDAHO HOUSE BILL 583; PROVIDING FINDINGS; PROVIDING FOR ENFORCEMENT; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION; AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
The full text of the proposed ordinance is available for public inspection at the office of the City Clerk located at 6360 N 4th Street, Dalton Gardens, Idaho, during regular business hours, Monday through Thursday, and may also be accessed on the official municipal website at https://daltongardens.gov.com.
All persons interested are invited to attend the meeting and will be afforded an opportunity to be heard. Written comments may be submitted to the City Clerk at the above address prior to the meeting.
