NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Thursday, April 2, 2026 @ 6 PM

To consider any and all testimony on Special Use Permit (#20260028)


In accordance with Idaho Code 67-6512, the Dalton Gardens Planning and Zoning Commission will conduct a Public Hearing and take public testimony for the special use permit application request # 20260028, a request to allow a commercial recreation facility in the Commercial Zone in Unit 1 at 80 E Wilbur Avenue, Dalton Gardens. A commercial recreation facility is allowed with Special Use Permit approval per Dalton City Code Title 5, Section 5-3-1.B.3. The application was submitted by Jensen Newhall, 3178 N 12th Street, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, representing the property owner MJNLAW, LLC at 9604 W Driftwood Drive, Coeur d'Alene. The applicant requests a special use permit to locate a “sporting/fitness recreational facility with use for youth and adults. Ninja Form provides an obstacle course training experience, much like what is seen on American Ninja Warrior or Spartan Races”, per the application at 80 E Wilbur Avenue. The subject property is located on the south side of E Wilbur Avenue, one parcel east of the intersection of  Government Way and E Wilbur Avenue; and one parcel west of the intersection of E Wilbur Avenue and N Valley Street. The parcel number is D00000255585, and described as E2- Tax #10549, Ex RW in NW-SW of Section 25, 51North, 04W B.M.

The public hearing will be held at the Dalton Gardens City Hall, 6360 N. 4th Street, Dalton Gardens, Idaho on April 2, 2026, at 6:00 p.m.


Copies of the application packet are available at City Hall during regular office hours (7:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Thursday closed 1-2 for lunch). Written comments should be received no later than 5PM Wednesday, April 1, 2026. Comments can be emailed to clerk@daltongardens.com, mailed directly to Dalton Gardens City Hall at 6360 N 4th Street, Dalton Gardens, ID 83815, or delivered in person to City Hall during regular business hours of 7 AM - 1 PM and 2 PM - 5 PM, Monday through Thursday. Please reference Permit number 20260028 in your comments.
